About Us

Set up in October 1994, as a joint venture between professionals in the Portuguese glass industry and the Maltha Groep business group (a Dutch group with vast experience in the field, which owns factories in Holland, Belgium, France and recently Hungary), MALTHA PORTUGAL dedicated the first few years of its existence to learning about techniques for the selective collection of glass waste (known as glass cullet, or simply “cullet” from now on) while deepening its knowledge of the specific needs of the Portuguese glass industry.
